Dry Brushing! Why you should do this once a week.

I try to dry brush my skin at least once a week. And after I use Body Scrub before I get in the shower and get my skin wet. And after I sometimes wax my underarms or legs, etc.
The Benefits of dry brushing:
  • Exfoliation- Dry skin brushing removes dead dry skin, improving appearance, clearing your clogged pores.
  • Increase Circulation- When you dry brush your skin, it increases circulation to your skin, which encourages the elimination of metabolic waste.
  • Reduce Cellulite- Dry skin brushing may help to soften hard fat deposits below the skin while distributing fat deposits more evenly. This may help to diminish the appearance of cellulite.
  • Stress Relief- The act of dry brushing has been described as meditative and may reduce muscle tension, calm your mind, and relieve stress.
  • It's Invigorating- Many people become "addicted" to dry skin brushing (in a good way) because it simply feels so good. Along with glowing and tighter skin.
How to dry brush:
  • First you'll need a high-quality dry brush. Look for one with bristles made from natural materials. They should feel stiff but not overly so. I use a long handle so you can reach your entire back and other hard-to-reach spots.
  • I start at the top of my feet going to the center of the body (stomach). Then hands, arms, back and finally the stomach.
  • When I am finally done with dry brushing I use my Boots Extracts Vanilla Body Scrub everywhere I dried brushed.
  • Leave it on for about 5 minutes then I go into the shower, rinse and towel dry my skin.
  • Then I used Cocoa Butter Lotion everywhere.
I got my Brush from Target, As well as the Body Scrub

Green and Gold Makeup.

Today I did a makeup look for St. Patrick's Day next week.

Makeup:
-I start out with doing my eyebrows first, I used a Dark Brown Powder then concealer around the edges, fixed the mistakes and put on my eyelids for a primer.
Eyes-
-Used a skin tone shimmer to the entire lid with a fluffy eye shadow brush.
-Next I put some tape to the sides of my eyes to make the eye makeup more cat eye like.
-I used a shimmer deep green to the crease and outer V with a small crease brush.
-Next I used Maybelline White Color Tattoo to just the lid to make the Gold more pigmented and used a eye shadow brush but you can use a crease brush if you want it more define.
-Gold to the lid and try to keep it on the lid and tear duck. Did that a few times until I got the gold I wanted.
-Last used a black gel eyeliner with a angle brush to lash line and make a wing.

Face:
-First off I have a few blemishes on my face so I used green concealer to the red areas of my face and a yellow to my under eyes with a precision brush and then a makeup sponge to blend it in.
-Maybelline BB Cream in Light/Medium to face with a foundation brush.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20 Sand to my under eyes, middle of my forehead& nose, side of my nose(a little red from being sick last week) and the areas where I had my blemishes.
-Skin Tone powder to the whole face to set in the foundation.
-A Shade darker powder to bronze the face (I just put it below my cheek bones, temples, sides of nose and jaw line).
A Lighter shade to lighting up a few spots of the face (Underneath the eyes, middle of forehead, bridge of nose and on chin under my bottom lip).
Last I used a black mascara to top and bottom lashes. Did two coast to top lashes.

Thanks for Reading! I will be doing a blog post once or twice a week now. So have any request email me! :)

Honey, Lemon& Baking Soda Face Mask. Does it really work?

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
So I was going through Pinterset and came across this face mask and thought to myself "Hum, maybe I should try this and tell you guys what I thought of it... And also I needed to do a face mask desperately." I have recently been breaking out due to stress and hormonal stuff. So I picked Honey, Lemon& Baking Soda because they all help clear up acne and blackheads (And needed to get rid of both of them).

Some benefits of each ingredients:
Honey-
  • Acne- Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it's great for acne treatment and prevention.
  • Complexion Boost- It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
  • Pores- Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.
Baking Soda-
  • Acne& Blemishes- A natural antibiotic that cures the underlying fungal infections. Baking soda can also slowly erase acne scars and speed the healing of acne damage.
  • Blackheads- Helps draw out the infections that cause the blackheads and loosen the tough skin around to makes them easier for you to extract.
  • Eases the pain from skin toning.
Lemons-
  • Heal Acne& Remove Blackheads- antibacterial and anti fungal properties make them a natural alternative for acne treatments.
  • Lighten Dark Spots& Blemishes-  gradually fades spots and evens your skin tone. Be cautious of open wounds or cuts on the face, as it can sting real bad.
  • Get rid of oily skin- Try doing this before bed and washing your face the next morning to prevent oily skin. (But be careful doing this since lemon has a number 3 on the alkaline and acidic scale.)

Measurements:
1/2 TSP Lemon Juice, 1/2 TSP Baking Soda and 1 TBSP Honey.
(When you first add all the ingredients the baking soda will fizz due to the acid from the lemon juice. Let it settle and mix again until smooth then apply to face, focusing to the acne and blackheads). If not sure if you can handle it test on the side of your neck with all ingredients and if it burns remove it.

-Used Control Corrective Gentle Face Wash before I applied the mask.
-Put the mask on with my fingertips and rubbed gently into my skin. Leave on for 15 minutes. After time is up I rinsed my face with warm water then extracted my face with an extractor. And the blackheads came running out! I am was excited when I was extracting, it feels so Satisfying to me! I did it on my nose (which is so sensitive but didn't hurt at all) and my forehead.
-Then used Control Corrective Sensitive Skin Tonic with Aloe with a round cotton pad all over face.
-Control Corrective Collagen Eye Defense to under the eye and on the eyelid.
-Control Corrective Ceramide Daily Cream.
 All Mixed.
15 Minute Timer.

I can tell the difference right away when I removed the mask.
Skin looked dry but after putting on my moisturizer my skin is very soft and still looks amazing!
